Eric Theisen

MANAGING PARTNER / CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

“THE DRIVING FORCE BEHIND ESTABLISHING WATERMARK WAS THE ABILITY TO BUILD, TO CREATE. IT'S THE IMPLEMENTATION OF STRATEGY SO WE CAN RUN UP THE PROFITABILITY SCOREBOARD. THAT'S WHAT I LOVE THE MOST."

Eric founded Watermark in 2013. As Managing Partner, Eric co-chairs the Watermark Advisory Board and oversees the overall strategy in the acquisition, development, and asset-management teams at Watermark. Over the last decade he has become an expert in creating the strategic framework for how Watermark approaches projects. He thrives in tactical asset positioning throughout all project phases, from concept to completion. His inspiration is his passion to build – which has served him quite well.

Prior to forming Watermark, Eric served as Director of Acquisitions for Righteous Oaks, Inc., a privately financed real estate fund based out of Chicago, as well as co-founder of Chicago Hope Homes, a non-profit RE investment vehicle formed to serve the underprivileged youth in Chicago’s West Side. His path to real estate sprouted from a foundation in construction management, spending time with California based RQ Construction and Minnesota based Gridor Construction.

Eric received his undergraduate degree in Business and Economics from Wheaton College. He is married to Michelle, and they have three children, Todd, Cameron, and Ansley. Eric has an interest in family time and outdoor activities.
